Advanced Driver Distraction Warning
If this alert appears, the driver must actively return their focus to driving. The alert clears once the driver has been assessed to be attentive again.
Advanced Driver Distraction Warning activates automatically when the vehicle is driven above 20 km/h for 60 consecutive seconds and Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is not actively controlling the vehicle.
You can disable or enable Advanced Driver Distraction Warning alerts by touching . This setting applies to the current drive only. Each time the vehicle is in Park and you walk away, Advanced Driver Distraction Warning automatically re-enables at the start of the next drive.
Limitations and Inaccuracies
Advanced Driver Distraction Warning may not provide warnings when:
- The cabin camera is damaged, dirty, or obstructed, or the infrared illuminators are obstructed or damaged.
- Extreme lighting conditions are interfering with cabin illumination. Situations such as sunrise, sunset, stroboscopic effects, or tunnels can impact system performance.
- Certain driver attributes—such as eyewear (glasses, sunglasses), clothing (scarf, hat, cap), facial objects (hygienic mask, smoking device), or cosmetics—may impact the overall performance of the feature.
- Extreme seating positions may impact the overall performance of the feature.
- Certain driver characteristics (illness, monocular vision, prosthetics) may impact the overall performance of the feature.
- An issue with one or more vehicle systems is preventing Advanced Driver Distraction Warning from functioning properly.
