Powering Devices with the Charge Port
To power devices from your vehicle's charge port, you can use the Gen 3 Mobile Connector and the Powershare Outlet Adapter (if equipped).
You can purchase the Powershare Outlet Adapter online at the Tesla Shop, if available in your market region. For more information about using the Gen 3 Mobile Connector and Powershare Outlet Adapter, including troubleshooting information, see the Gen 3 Mobile Connector Owner's Manual at https://www.tesla.com/support/charging/product-guides.
The Gen 3 Mobile Connector and 5-20 Powershare Outlet Adapter are an alternative to the cargo bed outlets in your vehicle. You can also power multiple devices at once using both the charge port and the cargo bed or cabin outlets. For more information about maximum draw and limitations, see Specifications.
Specifications
The 5-20 Powershare Outlet Adapter provides 20A maximum current and 2.4 kW maximum draw at 120V.
This is independent from the 120V outlets in the cabin which also provide a maximum of 20A across both cabin outlets (see Interior Power Outlets) (if equipped). It is possible to pull 20A from the cabin and 20A from the charge port at the same time. All AC power outlets combined (120V cabin, 120V cargo bed, and the 240V cargo bed outlet) are limited to a combined maximum of 40A. If multiple devices are plugged in and drawing power at the same time, power to each device may be reduced or interrupted.
