The Role

You will be part of a small team responsible for all of Tesla’s mergers & acquisitions, along with other exciting strategic projects. Your role will be to lead the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, including ensuring deals are properly evaluated, negotiated, and closed. You will play the same role for some projects that are not necessarily related to acquisitions. This is a highly cross functional role working with Tesla’s engineering, finance, and HR teams to move and execute on our goals faster. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of M&A execution including owning valuation analysis, input on legal documentation, owning the diligence process, and contributing to integration planning. You will research and analyze industries, companies, and business models. Perform “build versus buy” models and other analyses for Tesla executives. 

Requirements

8 years experience required in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or venture capital or management consulting, preferably with a focus on the technology industry

Bachelors degree 

Strong financial modeling skills 

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptional analytical skills

Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects/analyses

Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies 

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

Confidence and poise in presenting to executive management
